Information about ORTHODONTICS:
The goal of orthodontic treatment is to create a beautifull, healthy and functional smile. A perfect smile increases self esteem and our social skills. Along with aesthetics, a perfect occlusion protects the health of teeth as well as our temporomandibular joint.
There are many forms of malocclusions or "bad bites", such as crowding, spacing or rotations of teeth, overbite, protrusion of the upper or lower jaw etc. Trained, specialized orthodontists can individualize their treatments to their patients. Depending on the diagnosis, we utilize appropriate state-of-the-art modern technologies that apply light forces to correct skeletal or dental problems.

Information about when to START:
Children as young as 6-7 years old should visit their orthodontist for a check-up. When a problem is diagnosed early, the orthodontist can guide teeth and jaws to their ideal position, while the child continues to grow.
However, orthodontic treatment is not limited to children. Adults may find orthodontics to be a fun alternative to extractions or multiple surgeries.
